Best Man

AJ is my oldest friend from school. However, the real madness began after we decided to move into a flat with some rapscallions from our home town, shortly after the pandemic when London was finding its fire again. Over the years I've lost count of the amount of phones he's had snatched on nights out, and how many times he's woken up on a bus in Essex despite living in North London, and I'm actually still annoyed he got my Uber account banned. But in all seriousness, he's showed me what it takes to push the limits of achievement and has allowed me to envisage the path to my own success. I am grateful to have him in my life, and as my Best Man.

Sophie

Maid of Honour

My sister is my Maid of Honour and fellow glamazon. She is a gifted artist, with a particular fascination for the human body, and an impressive athlete - despite overcoming major heart surgery as a teen. We all loved being her cheerleaders when she smashed Hyrox! Professionally, she's a prodigy, earning a coveted spot on Campaign’s ‘30 Under 30’ list. And yet, with all this brilliance, she's still one of the kindest and most genuine people you could ever meet. I loved growing up with her, and having her as my childhood interpretive dance partner. However she is delusional when it comes to her cat, whom she insists is misunderstood despite clear evidence he is evil.

Tom

Chief Groomsman

My brother Tom is my Chief Groomsman. We grew up close and ride together always. He has always given me guidance and advice, and has been a light to me in times of darkness. I've always looked up to Tom. From being his first drummer in 'The Hammerheads' as kids, to playing bass guitar alongside him on stages across the UK. We lived together in London for many years, after I first arrived unceremoniously on his sofa when I was 19. We have had more experiences and life experiences together than I care to attempt counting, and he will always be someone I look up to and turn to. I am incredibly fortunate to have such a big brother.

Claudia

Chief Bridesmaid

Claudia is my best friend - brilliant, kind, and beautiful inside and out. We met at Reading University and our lives have been intertwined ever since. Originally from Portugal, she grew up in Brussels and now calls the wild beauty of Dartmoor home, where she lives with her partner, Jed. Claudia left a budding career in human rights to follow her passion for food, training at Ashburton Cookery School and diving into Dartmoor’s restaurant scene (ask her about her role in establishing Hippo)! She’s also a globe-trotter with stories for days, enjoys creating intricate artwork, and yes - like me - she’s loud. So if the mic cuts out during speeches, don’t worry; you’ll still hear her from the car park.

Adam, Sam & Tony

Ushers

I have assembled a small but mighty army of Ushers. Among them is Adam, whose encyclopaedic knowledge of every Indian takeaway in London borders on suspicious; Sam, one of my “day one” mates from school who has an unequivocal knowledge of german wheat beers and pubs across the south that show the footy; and Tony, the designated wild card, once famously choosing to remove the inner lining of a gilet, and replace it with clothes instead of packing a suitcase for a boys holiday. 

Michelle

Mother of the Groom

Michelle is the ultimate superhero in my life, always ready with sage advice and unwavering support. As a proud mummy's boy, I can happily admit I've inherited my rainman maths skills from her. Her love and encouragement have been the backbone of my journey, and I truly appreciate everything she's done for both me and Izzy. I love her to bits, and I wouldn’t trade her for anything in the world. She's always there for us when needed and is always prepared with a wealth of life experience to guide us through whatever we face. I wouldn't be where I am now without the love, support, guidance and patience of my mum. 

Adrian

Father of the Bride

I get my height from my dad, along with my high emotions, so there’s a real risk we’ll set each other off at the ceremony (bring tissues or maybe even a mop). My dad has always been in the creative industry, travelling around the world to work on different exciting projects for companies like the Orient Express. He’s also where I get my appreciation of history, my sense of humour, and obviously my good looks. A kind, generous, and quietly heroic man, he’s been a rock for both me and Elliott, always there when we need him: whether it’s for life advice, DIY dilemmas, or help looking after various small furry critters we've had over the years. He is also the king of barbecues!

Justine

Mother of the Bride

My mum is my absolute rock, helping us to get where we are with her love, advice, and support in many different aspects of life. She achieved a First Class at University in art, and is undoubtedly the reason for mine and my sister's artistic blood. These days, she and my dad are most often found adventuring aboard their beloved boat, O’Carolyn (named in tribute to my late granny, Carol), a well-earned chapter of joy and exploration. Her love of the water has also shaped not only her life, but the lives of many others through founding her incredible swim school, Millennium Minnows. We are endlessly grateful for her.

Tim

Stepfather of the Groom

Tim is my stepdad - an avid cyclist and runner with a quick wit that never fails to make us laugh! We can always count on Tim for his sage advice and unwavering support in many different areas, which Izzy and I deeply appreciate. Tim is always working hard behind the scenes to steer us in the right direction (and answer our many Whatsapp questions), and ensure we stay moving forwards. We’re so lucky to have him in our corner. Professionally, Tim has had a successful career in finance, followed by a holiday property business alongside my mum - although these days they are both mostly kept busy parenting their adorable spanish waterdog (NOT cockapoo - Ted), and moving house more times than they can finish their favourite sentence... ‘I swear this is the last move’!

Fran

Stepmother of the Groom

Fran is my stepmother, and from an incredibly early age she was invested and took me and my brother on like children of her own. I owe many passions, talents and morals to having Fran in my life. She bought a keyboard into our home at a young age, with which I became obsessed with. I also owe my passion for cooking to Fran, having spent hours together cooking stews, lasagnas and baking sweet treats. She has truly played a critical role in shaping who I've become and I couldn't be more grateful.

Rob

Father of the Groom

My dad has always been the cornerstone of my life, and has given me some of the fondest memories. I can guarantee we've played more frames of pool than most have had hot showers, just don't bother playing him at scrabble as he keeps tiles up his sleeves. My dad has a PhD in Chemistry, and his thesis was so packed with complex terminology it looks like someone sneezed in Latin. These days, though, he's a full-on computer nerd working in IT. But despite all of his brainpower, he still insists on telling dad jokes so bad they could be classed as psychological warfare. He's always been there for me, and I am very grateful to have him as my dad.  

Brie & Chutney

Rabbits (not ring bearers)

Brie and Chutney are Izzy and Elliott's beloved rabbits, and the reason for all of the bunny craziness. Izzy managed to indoctrinate Elliott into the 'bun dad' life when they first started dating, and they adopted Chutney together from a rescue centre. They get endless joy from caring for these adorable creatures together. But no, the rabbits will not be their ring bearers, and will be tucked up at home.
